‖ ˈludus Med. Obs. [Mod.L. (Paracelsus), app. an application of L. lūdus play (perh. taken in the sense ‘freak of nature’).] A name applied to certain septarian nodules formerly regarded as specific in cases of calcareous concretionary disease.
