‖ marisca Path.|məˈrɪskə| [L.; lit. a coarse fig. (For the application cf. ficus.)] Hæmorrhoids, piles; also, ‘an excrescence of a fleshy nature from the eyes or eyelids’ (Syd. Soc. Lex.). Hence maˈriscal, maˈriscous adjs. of the nature of mariscæ; affected with mariscæ.
