antherozooid, -zoid Bot.|ˌænθərəʊˈzəʊɔɪd, -ɪd| [mod. f. L. anthēra + zooid (f. Gr. ζωοειδής like an animal).] One of the minute moving bodies in the antheridia of cryptogams, analogous to the spermatozoa of animals.
