maxillary, a. and n.|mækˈsɪlərɪ| [f. maxilla + -ary. Cf. F. maxillaire.] A. adj. 1. Belonging to, connected with, or forming part of the jaw or jaw-bone, esp. of the upper jaw of vertebrate animals.
