meconin Chem.|ˈmiːkənɪn| Also -ine. [ad. F. méconine, f. Gr. µήκων poppy: see -in1.] A white, crystalline, neutral compound existing in opium, regarded as an anhydride of meconic acid. Cf. meconia.
