‖ medifurca Ent.|miːdɪˈfɜːkə| [mod.L., f. L. medi-us middle + furca fork.] The middle forked apodeme which serves for the attachment of the muscles by which the midlegs of insects are moved. Hence mediˈfurcal a. (Cent. Dict.).
