metepencephalon Anat.|ˌmɛtɛpɛnˈsɛfələn| Also anglicized metepencephal |-ˈsɛfəl|. Pl. metepencephala. [mod.L., f. meta- + epencephalon.] In Wilder's nomenclature, the metencephalon and epencephalon taken together and considered as one segment.
