‖ microzoa, n. pl. Zool.|maɪkrəʊˈzəʊə| In sing. -zoon |-ˈzəʊɒn|. [mod.L., f. Gr. µῑκρό-ς small + ζῷον animal.] A general name for infusoria, rotifers, etc. Hence microˈzoal, microˈzoic adjs., of the nature of, containing, or consisting of microzoa.
