monohybrid, n. and a. Biol.|mɒnəʊˈhaɪbrɪd| [f. mono- + hybrid n. and a.] A. n. A hybrid that is heterozygous with respect to a single gene. B. adj. Of, pertaining to, or characteristic of such a hybrid, or a cross resulting in such a hybrid. So monoˈhybridism (rare).
