▪ I. moton Antiq. [Origin obscure.] Some portion of the armour of the 15th century. Its place in the list suggests that it may be the plate often figured as attached to the rerebrace to protect the armpit. See Visct. Dillon The Besague or Moton in Archæol. Jrnl. LXIV. 15 ff.
