Moviola Cinemat. orig. U.S.|muːvɪˈəʊlə| Also Movieola, and with small initial. [f. movie + -ola, after pianola.] The proprietary name of a device whereby the picture and sound of a cinematographic film are reproduced on a small scale so that the film may be edited or checked.
