A name given to various Oceanic trees or shrubs, from the scent of their leaves or timber. a. The shrub Marlea vitiense (family Cornaceæ), with edible nuts. b. A tree of the genus Olearia, formerly Aster, Eurybia (family Compositæ), esp. the Silver-leaved Musk-tree, O. argophylla, and the Dwarf Musk-tree, O. viscosa.
