Nitralloy|ˈnaɪtrəlɔɪ| Also nitralloy. [f. nitr(iding vbl. n. (s.v. nitride v.) + alloy n.] A proprietary name for any of a range of alloy steels specially manufactured for nitriding and usu. containing (among other elements) about one per cent of aluminium and 0·2 to 0·5 per cent of carbon.
