nodi- comb. form of L. nōd-us knot, node, used in some scientific (Bot. and Entom.) terms, as ˈnodicorn [F. nodicorne] a., having nodose antennæ (Cent. Dict. 1890). noˈdiferous a., bearing nodes. nodiˈflorous [F. nodiflore] a., having flowers springing from the nodes of the stem. ˈnodiform a., having the form of a node or knot (esp. of joints).
