Norovirus, n. Virol. Brit. |ˈnɒrəʊˌvʌɪrəs|, U.S. |ˈnɔroʊˌvaɪrəs| [‹ scientific Latin Norovirus > n.) + -o- connective + virus n.] A genus of caliciviruses comprising the Norwalk virus, which causes epidemic gastroenteritis in humans, and closely related caliciviruses; (also norovirus) a virus of this genus.
