offretite Min.|ˈɒfrətaɪt| Also † offrétite. [ad. F. offrétite (F. Gonnard 1890, in Compt. Rend. CXI. 1002), f. the name of Albert Offret (b. 1857), French mineralogist: see -ite1.] A hydrated aluminosilicate of potassium and calcium, which belongs to the zeolite group and is found as colourless hexagonal crystals at Mount Semiol, France.
