orthognathous, a. Ethnol.|ɔːˈθɒgnəθəs| [f. ortho- ‘straight’ + Gr. γνάθ-ος jaw + -ous; in mod.F. orthognathe.] Straight jawed; having the jaws not projecting beyond the vertical line drawn from the forehead; having a facial angle of about 90°. Said of the skull; also of persons.
