paradoxure Zool.|pærəˈdɒksjʊə(r)| [ad. mod.L. paradoxūrus, f. Gr. παράδοξ-ος (see paradox) + οὐρά tail.] An animal of the genus Paradoxurus, family Viverridæ, or of an allied genus, so called because of its remarkably long curving tail; a palm-cat, palm-marten, or palm-civet.
