‖ parataxis Gram.|pærəˈtæksɪs| [mod.a. Gr. παράταξις a placing side by side, f. παρατάσσ-ειν to place side by side, f. παρα- para-1 1 + τάσσειν to arrange, τάξις arrangement.] The placing of propositions or clauses one after another, without indicating by connecting words the relation (of co-ordination or subordination) between them.
