paratriptic, a. (n.) Med., etc.|pærəˈtrɪptɪk| [f. Gr. παρα- para-1 beside, alongside of, against, etc. + τριπτ-, deriv. stem of τρίβειν to rub: cf. Gr. παρατρίβειν to rub on or against.] 1. Of or pertaining to friction or chafing.
