ˈpawnˌbroking, vbl. n. [f. prec.: see -ing1. Cf. broaking pawne in Shakes. Rich. II, ii. i. 293, broking vbl. n. 3.] The action or business of a pawnbroker; the occupation of lending money on the security of articles pawned.
