pedion Cryst.|ˈpɛdɪɒn| Pl. pedia. [a. Gr. πεδίον a plain, a flat surface.] A term introduced to denote any face of an anorthic crystal; each face being bounded by a set of faces of which no two are necessarily parallel, and which are connected only by a law of rational indices.
