perijove Astr.|ˈpɛrɪdʒəʊv| [= F. périjove (1766 in Bailly Essai 80), in mod.L. perijovium, f. peri- + L. Jov-em Jupiter, after perigee, perihelion.] That point in the orbit of any one of Jupiter's satellites at which it is nearest to Jupiter.
