phylloclade Bot.|ˈfɪləʊkleɪd| [ad. mod.L. phyllocladium (fɪləʊˈkleɪdɪəm) (also in Eng. use), f. Gr. ϕύλλον leaf + κλάδος branch.] A branch of an enlarged or flattened form, resembling or performing the functions of a leaf, as in Butcher's Broom or the Cactaceæ.
