pie-faced, a. [f. pie n.2 + faced ppl. a.2] Of a person, having a round countenance or a blank or solemn facial expression; stupid. Now commonly used as a general term of mild abuse (see also quot. 1939). Also transf. Quot. 1955 may represent pie a.1 rather than pie n.2
