pinscher|ˈpɪnʃər| [Ger.] A short-coated, often dark-coloured terrier of the breed so called, usually having pricked ears and a docked tail; also, a smaller terrier with either pricked or drop ears, belonging to the miniature breed so called. Cf. Dobermann.
