‖ pistillidium Bot.|pɪstɪˈlɪdɪəm| Pl. -ia. [mod.L., f. pistill-um pistil + -idium = Gr. -ιδιον, dim. suffix.] The female organ in the higher Cryptogams, usually called archegonium.
