planche, n. Gymnastics.|plɑːntʃ, semi-anglicized plɑːnʃ| [a. Fr., lit. ‘plank, slab’: cf. planch n.] A position in which the body is held parallel with the ground, esp. by the arms (as on the parallel bars, rings, etc.).
