‖ ploce Rhet.|ˈplɒsiː| Also 6 ploche, 7 ploke |ˈplɒkiː|. [Late L. plocē (Mart. Capella), the rhetorical figure, a. Gr. πλοκή plaiting, f. πλέκειν to plait.] The repetition of a word in an altered or more expressive sense, or for the sake of emphasis.
