polyconic, a.|pɒlɪˈkɒnɪk| [f. poly- + conic.] Involving or based upon a number of cones; applied to a system of map-projection in which each parallel of latitude is represented by the development of a cone touching the earth's surface along that parallel. Also n. a polyconic projection.
