Pondo|ˈpɒndəʊ| [Nguni.] a. A member of a Xhosa-speaking Nguni people in the eastern part of the Cape Province in South Africa. Cf. Amapondo. b. The language spoken by the Pondos, a dialect of Xhosa. Also attrib.
