prosodian, n. and a.|prɒˈsəʊdɪən| [f. L. prosōdia, Gr. προσῳδία prosody + -an.] A. n. = prosodist.
1623Cockeram ii, The Art of accenting, or the rule of pronouncing wordes truely long or short, prosodie. One skild in that Art, prosodian. 1646Sir T. Browne Pseud. Ep. vii. i. 339 That the Forbidden fruit..was an Apple, is commonly beleeved,..and some have been so bad Prosodians, as from thence to derive the Latine word Malum; because that fruit was the first occasion of evill. 1852Blackie Stud.
