rosasite Min.|ˈrəʊzəsaɪt| [a. It. rosasite (D. Lovisato 1908, in Atti d. R. Accad. d. Lincei XVII. ii. 726), f. Rosas, name of a mine at Sulcis, Sardinia: see -ite1.] A carbonate-hydroxide of copper and zinc, (Cu,Zn)2(OH)2CO3, a secondary mineral found as a bluish-green deposit on copper and zinc ores.
