bestiarian|ˌbɛstɪˈɛərɪən| Also beast-. [f. as prec. (by Prof. Owen) after humanitarian.] A name given to anti-vivisectionists, as ‘friends of the beast.’ ˌbestiˈarianism, the principles of those who uphold the ‘rights of animals.’
