[ad. med.Gr. βογόµιλος, of disputed origin; the first syllable may represent Russ. Bog God.]
A member of a heretical Bulgarian sect which arose in the 10th or 11th century, whose main tenet was that God the Father had two sons, Satan and Christ. Hence Bogoˈmilian a. and n., ˈBogomilism, ˈBogomilist.
