bombic, a.|ˈbɒmbɪk| [f. L. bomb-yx silk-worm (see bombyx) + -ic.] Of or pertaining to the silk-worm; as in bombic acid, an acid secreted by the silk-worm, now believed to be nearly pure acetic acid (Syd. Soc. Lex.).
