scenester, n. colloq. (orig. U.S.). Brit. |ˈsiːnstə|, U.S. |ˈsinstər| [‹ scene n. + -ster suffix.] A person who is characterized by participation in a particular, usually fashionable, social or artistic scene; originally and spec. with reference to any of various (esp. local) alternative music scenes. Occas. mildly derogatory.
