Schaumann Med.|ˈʃaʊmən| [Name of J. Schaumann of Stockholm, who described them (Acta Med. Scand. (1941) CVI. 239, etc.).] Schaumann('s) body: a rounded, laminated body containing iron and often calcium, numbers of which are common inside giant cells in sarcoidosis tissue.
