Schumannesque, a.|ʃuːməˈnɛsk| [f. the name of Robert Alexander Schumann (1810–1856), German composer + -esque.] Resembling the compositions or technique of Schumann. So Schumannism, a musical element in the style of Schumann; Schumannite, an admirer or interpreter of Schumann.
