buggeration, n. and int. colloq. (orig. and chiefly Brit.). Brit. |ˌbʌgəˈreɪʃn|, U.S. |ˌbəgəˈreɪʃ(ə)n| [‹ bugger v. + -ation suffix, probably partly after botheration n.] A. n. Annoyance, inconvenience, confusion. Earliest and freq. in buggeration factor n. orig. Mil. (the extent of) complication or difficulty besetting a particular course of action, ruefully considered inevitable; (also) a cause of such difficulty.
