ˈsemblative, a. rare. [f. semble v. + -ative, after semblant.] Coined by Shakes. (if the text is sound) to mean ‘like, resembling’, or perh. ‘seeming, appearing’. In the later quots.: Seeming; simulating the appearance (of).
