A yellow pyroxenoid, Fe6Ca(SiO3)7, that has been found on the moon and is an iron-rich analogue of pyroxmangite.

I. 65 Pyroxferroite was first recognized by the LSPET (1969) as an unidentified yellow mineral that seemed to be concentrated in vuggy areas of the Type B rock.
