‖ cherimoya|tʃɛrɪˈmɔɪə| Also chiri-, -moyer. [Anglicized form of the Peruvian (Quichua) name: cf. mod.F. chérimolier.] 1. A small tree (Anona Cherimolia), a native of Peru, with sweet-scented greenish flowers.
