sialagogue, n. and a. Med.|ˈsaɪələgəʊg| Also sialogogue. [a. F. sialagogue (1752), or ad. mod.L. sialagogus, -um, f. Gr. σίαλον saliva + ἀγωγός leading, drawing forth: cf. cholagogue, emmenagogue.] A. n. A medicine which has the effect of producing a flow of saliva. α1794–6E. Darwin Zoon.
