A. n. A native or inhabitant of Sidon.
The Wycliffite versions of the Bible use Sidonees (-eis), Sidonyes (-yis), etc. In Deut. iii. 9 Coverdale has Sidons. The usual spelling (Zidonian) in the 1611 version is due to the Hebrew form.
