quinic, kinic, a. Chem.|ˈkwɪnɪk, ˈkɪnɪk| [f. quin-a + -ic. Cf. F. quinique.] Derived from quina. quinic acid: a vegetable acid found chiefly in cinchona barks. quinic fever: a fever which sometimes attacks persons engaged in the manufacture of quinine (Syd. Soc. Lex. 1897).
