‖ Colutea Bot.|kəˈl(j)uːtiːə| [L., ad. Gr. κολουτέα (also κολοιτέα), name of a pod-bearing tree in Theophrastus.] A genus of shrubs with papilionaceous flowers and bladder-like pods, hence called Bladder-senna; a yellow-flowered species (C. arborescens) is grown in England.
