sopranino, n. and a.|sopraˈnino| [a. It. sopranino, dim. of soprano n. (and a.).] A. n. An instrument (usu. wind) of higher pitch than a soprano (see soprano 3 b). B. adj. Of or pertaining to such an instrument, as a recorder.
