‖ cryophorus|kraɪˈɒfərəs| [mod.L. in form, f. Gr. κρύο-ς frost + -ϕορος -bearing, -bearer.] An instrument for illustrating the freezing of water by evaporation; that invented by Wollaston consists of a glass tube with a bulb at each end.
