ctenocyst Zool.|ˈtiːnəʊsɪst| [f. Gr. κτενο- see above, here taken as short for ctenophora + κύστις bladder, cyst.] The vesicle, containing clear fluid and otoliths, which constitutes the organ of sense (probably of hearing) in the Ctenophora.
